Fair Usage Policy – MJDesigns

This Fair Usage Policy ensures that all clients receive a consistent and high-quality level of service while maintaining reasonable usage of included monthly support and update time.

1. Purpose

MJDesigns monthly website packages include limited update and support time. This policy prevents excessive use of resources that may impact service quality for other clients.

2. Included Monthly Update Time

Each package includes a fixed amount of update time:

• Starter Package: 30 minutes per month
• Growth Package: 1 hour per month
• Pro Package: 2 hours per month

This time includes:

• Text updates
• Image replacements
• Small layout adjustments
• Contact detail changes

3. What Is Considered Excessive Use

Excessive usage includes but is not limited to:

• Frequent change requests
• Repeated revisions to the same content
• Major layout changes
• New page requests
• Design changes outside original scope
• Urgent same-day requests

4. Additional Work

If update requests exceed the included time:

• Additional work will be billed at R450 per hour
• Clients will be notified before additional charges apply

5. Non-Rollover Policy

Unused update time:

• Does not roll over to the next month
• Cannot be accumulated
• Cannot be exchanged for other services

6. Fair Support Usage

Support is intended for:

• Website-related questions
• Minor assistance
• Technical support

Support does not include:

• Marketing consultation
• Business advice
• SEO campaigns
• Training sessions

These services may be quoted separately.

7. Abuse of Service

If a client consistently exceeds fair usage:

• MJDesigns may recommend upgrading to a higher package
• Or provide a custom quotation

8. Policy Updates

MJDesigns reserves the right to update this Fair Usage Policy at any time.
